York County Homes for Sale

York County is located in several areas around Williamsburg, it spreads from the upper Williamsburg area, runs down to the lower end of the county expanding all the way to the city of Yorktown (a small historic town that is about 20 minutes from Williamsburg) York County shares an address with Williamsburg and Yorktown. The York River dictates the area. York County is considered desirable because like the City of Williamsburg, some areas in walking distance to the Colonial district, making it close to downtown shopping.

The Colonial Parkway also part of York County, it's a two lane go between that takes you from Williamsburg to historical Yorktown, or further to Gloucester. It’s simply breathtaking, combined with beaches on one end and trees on the other. You can ride your bike, picnic, fish, kayak or jet ski off the Parkway. There are some older more mature neighborhoods that are right off the Parkway. The biggest and most popular is Queen's Lake. Most of the older neighborhoods in York County are tucked away, and are  some of Williamsburg's best kept secrets.
