Homes for Sale in Upper James City County

Upper James City County-Lanexa/Toano is still considered James City County, but the little towns described on this page, Toano, and Lanexa, Norge and Crocker are about 10- 15 minutes north of Williamsburg. These areas are considered rural, mostly single family detached homes. Homes  there generally have larger yards and are in waterfront communities. The main river that surround this area is the Chickahominy River. There are also several creeks, and reservoirs. If you live on the River you can boat, jet ski or swim right outside your back door. Most neighborhoods in this area have little or very low Home Owners Associations or dues.

There are so many positive sides to living out of town. One being the homes are usually less expensive, so generally you can get more land or a bigger home your money. If it seems too far, not to worry, the a main highway I64 is close by and it will bring you into town quickly and get you back home fast. I64 runs straight to Richmond and straight to Norfolk so you can live in the country and work in the City.
